In the latter half of 2005, I was a visiting fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC). Sheer boredom forced me to seek entertainment through other means. And thus was born SpicyIP!
For a long time, it was only me. The posts dragged on and were awfully boring. And then I had the good fortune of meeting some fabulous writers. Needless to state, I cajoled them into joining the SpicyIP Team. As for my background:
I teach at a law school in India (NUJS) as the MHRD Chair in IP Law. Prior to this, I was the Frank H Marks Visiting Associate Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the George Washington University law school.
I graduated from the National law school of India University, Bangalore. I then joined Anand and Anand, an intellectual property law firm in New Delhi.
I completed post graduate studies (BCL and MPhil as a Wellcome Trust Scholar) at the University of Oxford.
